Meet IICC
IICC is a global, nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by industry leaders and the clinical laboratory community to create and encourage the adoption of a unified connectivity standard. Standardizing IVD connectivity will reduce the time and cost to develop and implement communication interfaces within the lab and between the lab and the rest of the healthcare system. With widespread adoption of the electronic health record (EHR) and government mandates such as “meaningful use” in the U.S., interoperable connectivity is critical to the viability and advancement of clinical diagnostics and laboratory science.
